CAPE TOWN – Stellenbosch FC have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season with the addition of two new players as preparations intensify for the upcoming campaign.
Following the recent announcement of former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Matlou, the Cape Winelands outfit have further reinforced their squad by securing the services of goalkeeper Nathan Garrow on a permanent transfer from New Zealand side Auckland City.
The arrival of the 21-year-old shot-stopper comes after Stellenbosch were dealt a blow in the goalkeeping department following the retirement of Lee Langeveldt and the departure of Oscarine Masuluke.
Garrow joins the club on a long-term deal after earning widespread recognition for his performances at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where he impressed against Portuguese giants Benfica and Argentine powerhouse Boca Juniors.
Stellenbosch also confirmed the signing of experienced defender Terrence Mashego, who joins the club on a season-long loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The former Cape Town City left-back spent last season on loan at Durban City, where he gained valuable game time and will now look to add quality and experience to Gavin Hunt’s defensive options.
“We are delighted to welcome Nathan to Stellenbosch FC. He is a talented young goalkeeper with outstanding potential, and his performances over the past year have demonstrated that he has the quality to succeed at a high level,” said Stellenbosch FC CEO, Rob Benadie.
