CAPE TOWN | September 2026 | South Africa’s netball warriors have a new battle uniform, and PUMA is betting that a bold national identity can help fuel another chapter in the sport’s rapid rise.
PUMA and Netball South Africa unveiled the new Home and Away kits for the SPAR Proteas and Protea Warriors ahead of the 2026 Africa Netball Cup and the 2026/27 international season.

The design does not whisper.
It roars.
Inspired by the colours of the South African flag, the latest United Warriors strip turns green, yellow and white into a visual cocktail of national pride, movement and ambition.
The Home kit features a striking green base with yellow side panels, while the Away version opts for crisp white. Both carry an eye-catching geometric graphic designed to capture the speed and intensity of netball.
Arrowheads point upwards, symbolising growth, ambition and evolution. Zigzag elements inject a sense of motion, reflecting players cutting, pivoting and accelerating across the court.
It is fashion with a sporting pulse.
And in an era when sports kits have become walking billboards for identity, culture and aspiration, the design carries a message larger than fabric.
“Netball South Africa is delighted with the new home and away kits for the SPAR Proteas and Protea Warriors for the 2026 Africa Netball Cup and beyond,” said Netball South Africa president Mami Diale.
“We are confident that our kit partner PUMA has created a design that is both stylish and functional. We believe that the team will perform at their best in these new kits.
“As a passionate sport, we believe the design encompasses a touch of African tradition, a variety of sports, lifestyle and performance elements.”
That ambition places the kit firmly inside a sport undergoing its own evolution.

Netball’s court has become a theatre of speed, precision and physical pressure, and South Africa’s national teams need an identity capable of matching that tempo.
PUMA South Africa marketing director Brett Bellinger said the kit brings together three ingredients central to the national teams.
“The design embodies the spirit of the Protea men’s and women’s teams, bringing together performance, national identity and contemporary sporting style,” he said.
“The new kits celebrate the movement and passion that make netball such a growing and powerful part of South African sport.”
The real test, naturally, will come when the whistle blows.
A dazzling strip cannot intercept a pass, sink a shot or win a turnover. It can, however, become part of the theatre surrounding a team, giving players and supporters a shared visual language.
For the Proteas and Protea Warriors, the new kit now carries that responsibility.
The arrows point upwards.
The Warriors will have to make the climb.
