Gerda Steyn is coming home. 🏃♀️🔥The seven-time Two Oceans and five-time Comrades champion will make her Free State racing debut at the inaugural #Mangaung10K on 25 October. 32:24 is her 10km PB. The question is what she can unleash after another monster ultra season.
The Boxer Super Run Durban returns on 18 October with four start waves: Open, Super Social, Elite Women and Elite Men. From chasing seconds to chasing good times, Durban’s 5km promises a finish-line story for every kind of runner.
The Kenyan 22-year-old stunned the field with a 30:43 lifetime best to win the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on her international 10km debut. Now she arrives in Pretoria as one of the women to beat.
Durban is getting even faster. The 2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K will feature a refined speed-focused route and an earlier 07:00 start, raising hopes of the first-ever sub-27-minute 10km on African soil.
The stage is set for one of the strongest 10km road races ever assembled on African soil.
Olympic champion and world record holder Joshua Cheptegei will face a formidable challenge from Kenya’s Felix Masai and Gilbert Kiprotich, Lesotho record holder Kamohelo Mofolo, South Africa’s Kabelo Mulaudzi and Uganda’s Emanuel Kibet at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on 12 July.
With a fast course, elite depth and the possibility of a historic performance, Durban is preparing for a race that could redefine African road running.
“The quality and depth of this year’s field will firmly establish the 2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K as the greatest 10km ever staged on African soil,” said Stillwater Sports Michael Meyer. “With a field of this calibre, the possibility of history being made, including the first sub-27-minute 10km on African soil, is very real.”
With deep international fields, national pride and history dangling like a finish-line ribbon across the horizon, Cape Town’s roads are set to roar beneath racing shoes at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY SERIES Cape Town 10K this weekend.
Elite runner Faith Cherono eyes a record-breaking run in Cape Town as she focuses on time over podium at the 2026 10K race.
All eyes on Cape Town as Kabelo Mulaudzi returns from injury aiming for a PB, while Kenya’s Felix Masai targets the SA All-Comers record. This one could be fast from the first stride. #RunYourCity
