Kolisi married Rachel Smith in 2016 and they have two children together — a son Nicholas (born 2015) and daughter Keziah (born 2017).

“We wanted to share some important news with you. After much reflection and open conversations, we have mutually decided to end our marriage.

“This decision comes from a place of love, respect, and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us.”

The couple vowed to remain “great friends” in the best interest of the children and also work together on their foundation.

“While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known.

“We will also continue working together on the Foundation that means so much to us. We are grateful for the love, understanding, and support you’ve shown us, and we kindly ask for your respect as we navigate this transition,” with gratitude and love Siya and Rachel.

Their relationship has been admired and celebrated by many, with Siya often crediting Rachel as his rock and biggest supporter. The news has sent shock waves through social media, with fans and well-wishers expressing sadness and support for the couple.

Siya, as the Springbok captain, led the team to World Cup victory in 2019 in Japan and 2023  in France while Rachel has been a vocal advocate for women’s empowerment and social justice.
