CAPE TOWN – Stellenbosch FC have announced the acquisition of Cape Town Spurs captain Chumani Butsaka on a long-term permanent transfer.
The midfielder made 116 appearances across all competitions during his time at Ikamva.
Butsaka has captained Spurs since the start of the 2023/24 league campaign.
He also previously represented South Africa at the 2022 COSAFA Cup where he scored on debut in a 2-1 win over Madagascar.
“We are delighted to welcome Chumani to the Club,” Stellenbosch FC CEO Rob Benadie said.
The 22-year-old will wear the No. 15 jersey this season from Stellies and could be in line to make his debut in Stellenbosch FC’s 2024/25 Betway Premiership season-opener against Golden Arrows on Wednesday.
