WATCH | Springbok captain Siya Kolisi’s heartfelt message to the people affected by the devastating floods in Cape Town

UMHLANGA, DURBAN – A concerned Springbok captain Siya Kolisi sent a heartfelt message  to all the people of Cape Town affected by the devastating storms that hit the Western Cape the past week.

Listen to Siya’s message in the video below:

“Hello everyone! We just want to say our thoughts are with every single person in Cape Town. We are thinking of you, that you are not too affected and that everybody can be safe,” a clearly concerned Kolisi said after the traditional team photo was taken at the team hotel on Friday morning.

“Obviously, those who can help it’s obviously time to stand together and help each other and those who can’t even if it is with your time, if it’s your resources please help where you can. So many families have been affected and we just thinking of you.

“We here playing in Durban there is not much we can do other than hope everything settles down. So lets help each other, lets stand together and lets unite, lets fight this together and lets help those who can’t.

“Thank you so much. We appreciate your support you have given us, but we’ll support you where we can as a team going forward,” added Kolisi.

South Africa take on Ireland here in the second test of the Castle Lager Incoming Series on Saturday at Hollywood Kings Park at 17:00.

The Springboks hope to follow up on last week’s hard-fought 27-20 victory in the first test at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.
