CAPE TOWN – Chippa United has announced the signing of the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows midfielder, Andile Jali.
The Matatiele born joins the Gqeberha based side after spending just one season with the DStv Premiership outfit, Swallows having made 11 appearances.
The Bafana Bafana defensive midfielder was part of the 20 players who were fired by the Dobsonville side.
“Born in Matatiele in the Eastern Cape, Jali left the province to pursue a successful career in both international and domestic football,” said the team statement.
“He is finally returning to his home province, bringing his wealth of experience and skills to strengthen our squad. Welcome Back To The Eastern Cape Mhlekazi!”
Chippa ended the 2023/24 campaign in 12th position.
