CAPE TOWN – Western Province fast bowler Beuran Hendricks has been added to the South African T20 side that will face India in a three-match T20I series starting on Sunday, 10 December 2023 in Durban.
Hendricks who was part of the Province team that lifted the 2023 CSA 1 Day Cup two months ago is replacing Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngidi.
Ngidi has been ruled out due to a left lateral ankle sprain.
“The 27-year-old has been released from the squad and will return to his provincial team where he will undergo his rehabilitation with the Momentum Multiply Titans under the supervision of the Proteas medical team,” said CSA statement.
“Initially he was expected to play in the round of four-day matches from 14 – 17 December in preparation for the two-match Betway Test series.
“He will instead be further assessed by the medical team on his progress.”
