Cape Town, 3 November 2026 – Cape Town City’s conveyor belt of young football talent continues to attract international attention, with highly rated midfielder Gabriel Amato becoming the latest South African prospect to join the prestigious Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) stable.
Amato’s signing is another significant vote of confidence in South African football’s emerging generation, with the global agency adding another promising name to its growing local portfolio.
The young midfielder has enjoyed a blistering start to his career, making an immediate impression at Cape Town City with four goals and two assists in eight appearances this season. Those numbers paint the picture of a player already making his presence felt, with his performances fuelling growing expectations of a future Bafana Bafana call-up.
Roc Nation’s latest acquisition follows the recent recruitment of his Cape Town City teammate Cayden Fortune. They join an impressive South African contingent featuring Neo Bohloko, Emile Witbooi and Siya Mabena.
The agency clearly sees considerable mileage in South Africa’s emerging football talent, with Amato’s technical ability, vision and professional attitude strengthening his international prospects.
Nathan Campbell, RNSI’s Head of Global Football Recruitment, said the agency had monitored Amato’s development for an extended period.
“Beyond his undeniable on-field qualities, RNSI recognised that Amato possesses the exemplary mindset, discipline and work ethic required to navigate a successful professional career at the highest global level.”
Amato described the signing as a major milestone in his career.
“Joining Roc Nation Sports International is a massive milestone in my career. To be part of an agency that represents some of the biggest names in world sport – and to stand alongside incredible talents like Cayden, Emile, Neo, and Siya on the South African roster – is an absolute honour.
“RNSI has shown belief in my journey from an early stage, and I am incredibly grateful for their support. I am fully focused on making my family and supporters proud as I chase my dreams.”
Grant Veitch, RNSI’s Director of African Football Recruitment, was equally enthusiastic about the acquisition.
“It has been incredible to watch Gabi’s rapid development and stellar performances for Cape Town City. He is a truly special talent with extraordinary vision and technical ability. He embodies everything we look for in an athlete at Roc Nation.
“We are incredibly proud to welcome him to the family and look forward to supporting him as he fulfills his immense potential, both locally and internationally.”
For Amato, the next phase promises a bigger stage, greater expectations and an opportunity to turn potential into performance.
Roc Nation has put its faith in his footballing future.
Now the young midfielder must keep delivering on the pitch, where reputations are built, dreams are tested and the biggest opportunities are earned.
