Totalsports Two Oceans 2026 rolls out the Red Carpet for Blue Number Club Runners

The road to greatness at the world’s most beautiful marathon is about to get smoother, faster and far more rewarding.

When the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon (TTOM) rolls into Cape Town from 10–12 April 2026, the spotlight will shine brightly on the sport’s most faithful road warriors, the Blue Number Club (BNC) members, with a suite of elevated rewards designed to honour decades of dedication.

From priority access to enhanced finish-line comforts, organisers are widening the fast lane for runners whose footprints are etched deep into the race’s history.

Achieving the coveted BNC status at TTOM is a truly remarkable accomplishment,” said Chris Goldschmidt, Chairperson of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC.

A Blue Number is awarded to runners who have completed 10 Ultra or Half Marathons, or Trail Runs, earned a gold medal in the Ultra Marathon five times, or won the Half Marathon, Ultra Marathon, or any Trail Run distance three times. There is no joining fee and no annual membership fee. It’s a recognition of dedication and achievement.

Goldschmidt added that these runners are the race’s living mile markers.

The BNC represents the heart and history of TTOM. These are runners who have shown extraordinary commitment to the event over many years, and their loyalty has helped shape the legacy we celebrate today. Honouring the BNC is not just important — it’s essential.

A VIP Lane for Road Titans

For 2026, BNC members will enjoy a premium race-weekend journey, complete with priority pre-entry, preferential seeding, permanent race numbers and post-race hospitality. The perks reward athletes who’ve logged thousands of kilometres on this iconic route.

These athletes are not only dedicated runners, they are the storytellers, the tradition keepers, and the living legacy of this event,” said Wade Bromfield, General Manager of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon.

That’s why, from 2026 onwards, we’ve made a concerted effort to ensure that BNC members receive the extra-special treatment they’ve earned.
