CAPW TOWN – Kaizer Chiefs have continued to bolster their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season with the signing of Tanzanian international Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko from Azam FC.
The Soweto giants confirmed that they had secured the services of the 27-year-old defensive midfielder for an undisclosed fee following successful negotiations between the two clubs.
His move also marks a historic moment, as he becomes the first Tanzanian player to wear the famous black and gold colours of Amakhosi.
The acquisition forms part of Chiefs’ rebuilding process as the club prepares for a fresh chapter under newly appointed head coach Fernando da Cruz.
The Frenchman was unveiled last month on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year, as the club looks to return to challenging for domestic honours and make a strong impression in continental football next season.
