The Springboks continue to haunt Welsh dreams. A week after Wales arrived in Durban hoping to restore pride, they left Kings Park with another painful reminder that green and gold remains rugby’s toughest address.
South Africa stormed to a commanding 43-0 Nations Championship victory on Saturday night, following last season’s merciless 74-0 hammering in Cardiff.
Lightning struck twice. The dragon never breathed.

It was far from a flawless Springbok performance. The ball hit the deck too often, promising attacks fizzled out and scoring chances escaped through clumsy hands. Even so, the world champions still marched into the sheds 19-0 ahead, proof that even an untidy Bok is still a dangerous beast.
The biggest victory belonged to the future.
Four debutants walked into Test rugby’s cauldron and looked completely at home.
Twenty-year-old flyhalf Vusi Moyo played with the poise of a veteran chess master. Becoming the youngest flyhalf to start his Springbok career, he steered the attack with maturity beyond his years and calmly slotted his kicks. South Africa may well have uncovered another long-term general.
On the wing, Jaco Williams wrote the perfect script with a debut try. Ruben van Heerden owned the skies at the lineout, while powerhouse prop Carlu Sadie folded the Welsh scrum like a camping chair. Every shove sounded another warning bell.

Then came the Wiese wrecking crew.
Brother Cobus charged through midfield like a runaway locomotive before laying the red carpet for Jasper, who blasted through for the opening try after four minutes. When the Wiese brothers gather momentum, defenders resemble traffic cones.
The Bok pack tightened the screws. Cobus Reinach darted over from close range before skipper Jesse Kriel crossed on the stroke of half-time to leave Wales gasping for oxygen.
After the break, Cobus Wiese revealed velvet hands to match his granite frame, popping a clever pass that sent Williams racing away for his maiden Test score.
Herschel Jantjies wasted little time celebrating his return to the Springbok jersey after eight years away, finishing a slick move sparked by Williams. Man of the Match Paul de Villiers then delivered the knockout punch with his first Test try, slamming the door firmly shut.
Credit belongs to coach Steve Tandy‘s side. Wales tackled with heart, fought every collision and never surrendered. Their spirit deserved applause. Their scoreboard offered no comfort.
For Erasmus, this was another reminder that South African rugby’s conveyor belt refuses to slow down. Every season another crop arrives. Every season another youngster grabs the famous green jersey with both hands.
The Springboks did not merely beat Wales.
They unveiled tomorrow while winning today.
