CAPE TOWN – Stellenbosch FC claimed a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Sekhukhune United at Athlone Stadium on Friday in the Betway Premiership.
Goals from Kazie Godswill (23), Genino Palace (38) and Chumani Butsaka (67) sealed the win, while Bright Ndlovu (65) briefly brought Sekhukhune back into contention.
Head coach Gavin Hunt described the encounter as intense and unpredictable.
“It was a hell of a game, end-to-end stuff, but a bit too open for me,” said Hunt.
Hunt felt his side improved after the break despite missed chances.
“All in all, we did well for the victory.”
