CAPE TOWN – Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has announced a preliminary squad ahead of South Africa’s upcoming international friendly matches against Panama national football team later this month.
Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium and DHL Cape Town Stadium have been confirmed as the venues for Bafana Bafana’s two international friendly matches against Panama.
These friendlies are a key part of head coach Hugo Broos’ preparation plan ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from 11 June to 19 July 2026.
The Belgian mentor has included a mix of experienced campaigners and emerging talent, giving several players an opportunity to stake a claim for a place in the final matchday squad.
Broos is set to narrow down his squad, with the final roster expected to be announced next week.
