CAPE TOWN – Stellenbosch FC have confirmed several player exits ahead of the new DStv Premiership season starting next month.
Liam De Kock, a product of Stellenbosch FC’s reserve team program, has departed the club after his contract expired.
De Kock was part of the club’s squads that won the 2021/22 and 2023/24 DStv Diski Challenge titles.
The Cape Winelands giants also revealed former Stellenbosch FC reserve team captain Shaakir Ahmed has departed the club following the expiration of his contract.
Ahmed made a notable impact in the club’s reserve ranks where he won the Premier League Next Generation Cup in 2022, before captaining the team to the DStv Diski Challenge and Premier League Next Generation Cup titles in 2024.
Stellies announced that Brian Onyango has departed the club following the expiration of his contract.
Onyango joined the team at the start of the 2024/25 campaign and made eight appearances across all competitions, helping the club reach the MTN8 final and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.
