Cape Town, it’s time to lace up! Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis is calling on every Capetonian to step up, step out, and hit the pavement as the Mother City gears up to celebrate the 10th edition of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K—and this year’s milestone event promises to be the biggest yet.
Set for Sunday, 11 May 2025, this electrifying 10km race invites runners of all fitness levels to experience the city like never before.
Whether you’re racing for a personal best or simply soaking in the atmosphere, the route winds through Cape Town’s iconic streets, scenic spots, and colorful neighborhoods—all buzzing with energy and unity.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be on the start line this year. I won’t be up front with the pros, but right in the thick of it, where the real fun lives—with everyday runners, dreamers, and community heroes.”
