NEWLANDS—A visibly emotional TS Galaxy head coach, Sead Ramovic, walked down memory lane as he recalled taking over the hot seat following his resignation.
Ramovic mentioned his departure as Galaxy head coach live on TV, this comes after a 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC last night at Athlone Stadium.
Stellenbosch defender Fawaaz Basadien, broke the deadlock after two minutes of play before Galaxy’s Nkosikhona Radebe levelled in 72 minutes.
Galaxy are currently bottom of the Betway Premiership with just two points after six matches and four losses.
“I think when I came everybody knew this team was on the bottom, it was a lot of mess, let me say this way, but we had after I arrived with my whole stuff. I think we had a beautiful three years, it was a lot of beautiful memories, a lot of beautiful victories, a lot of beautiful games we played and we sold 12 players to the best teams in our league,” said Ramovic.
“I think if I’m not mistaken the club got around R40 million or more for these players in the last two seasons.
“It’s just amazing and I also would like here again to say a big thank you to my chairman friend, he gave me this opportunity and I hope I paid back to him everything because when you see now the club is just one of the most beautiful clubs in our league.”
Ramovic adds that he wants to use this opportunity to spend time with his family.
“If you sell half of your team and to start from scratch again is not that easy because it takes a lot of energy but I just go now the other way and try to wait for the right offer, right club,” he said.
“If this kind of right offer comes out I will try my best and I can just say alhamdulillah then if this right offer doesn’t come out I also say alhamdulillah because I had a beautiful three years here so it’s just a beautiful time.
“I would like to spend more time with my parents because they are older, they came with me when I arrived but they spent only eight months. Now that they are back they cannot fly so much.
“You never know because my father is 76 and you never know how much time you can see my father so it’s time to spend time with them and it’s time to see them and we are happy, my kids they’re also happy to see their grandfather.”
