Breaking Ground with MHMSA: A Spectacular Sports Exhibition Unveiling Unsung Heroes
CAPE TOWN – In an exciting collaboration with the Cape Castle of Goodhope, the Muslim Heritage Museum of SA
(MHMSA) is set to redefine the sporting landscape with a ground-breaking Sports Exhibition.
Established as a Non-Profit Company (NPC) in 2021 MHMSA has been dedicated to chronicling the stories of Unsung Heroes across diverse topics, and now, it takes a leap into the world of sports.
The South African Sports Legends Expo (SASLE) is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the stories of individuals who have made significant contributions to world of Sports, ensuring their legacies endure for generations to come.
Sheduled from the 5 th to the 7 th January 2024, the event will unfold within the historic walls of the Cape Castle of Goodhope.
The Cape Castle of Goodhope, a historical landmark, provides a fitting backdrop for this momentous occasion. As visitors immerse themselves in the exhibits, they’ll find a blend of history., culture and the remarkable achievements of those who have left an indelible mark on the world of Sports.
Fadia Mohamed, a museologist and one of the founder member of the MHMSA, shares her enthusiasm, stating, “ The Sports Exhibition aims to pay homage to sporting legends and achievers across various sporting codes, bringing together a rich tapestry of talent and narratives”.
Mohamed also adds, “ This mission aligns with MHMSA’s broader goal of creating a platform for interaction and
documentation of remarkable individuals who have made significant contributions, yet often go
unnoticed.”
The exhibition is designed to be more than a mere display of memorabilia; it promises a dynamic experience with a diverse range of sporting exhibitions, interactive activities, and cultural displays.
Attendees can anticipate not only a celebration of sporting prowess but also insight into health and wellness organisations that accompany a life dedicated to physical excellence.

Abubaker Cassiem, at the helm of the Sports Stepping Stones foundation and serving as the current sports manager for the expo, has been instrumental in the success of this event.
Equally noteworthy is Riaz Randeree, playing a pivotal role in venue logistics and spearheading the sponsors division.
