Bartlett says better days are still coming ahead of Chippa United game

CAPE TOWN – Cape Town Spurs coach Shaun Bartlett believes better days are still coming for the Urban Warriors who haven’t tasted a victory this season.

Spurs will welcome Gqeberha side Chippa United in their DStv Premiership clash at Athlone Stadium on Friday night.

Bartlett’s charges have lost all three games so far in the campaign as they look to change that against Chippa.

He says they need to fix the individual errors that have been costing the team.

“It’s a very difficult situation at this moment in time, playing three games and not getting results, we are coming up to our second home game now against Chippa,” said Bartlett.

“I believe our last game against Polokwane was much better than the previous two but once again it’s the small margins that we have to focus on fixing the individual errors.

“Obviously, for all the chances we have been creating we have to convert at least 50% of them which hasn’t happened in the past.”

Chippa has lost once and drawn three having played four matches so far.

Bartlett adds that the team has been working hard at training this week.

“Ïts a massive game for us, I think the boys have now adjusted to the DStv Premiership level, hopefully against Chippa we will bring results,” he said.

“Hopefully the results will be the first victory in the Premiership, that is what we have been preparing for.

“Players are also looking much sharper and confidence is high as well, once we apply ourselves with the right attitude, I’m pretty sure we can get the results.”

Kick off is at 19:30
