CAPE TOWN – After an impressive season in the Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby, Springbok Women prop Babalwa Latsha extended her stay with Harlequins Women.
The club announced on Monday that Latsha signed a new contract with the English outfit ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Latsha joined the Quins early this year and went on to make eight appearances that saw her scoring four tries in four consecutive matches.
Being the first player in South Africa to sign a pro overseas contract when she joined the Spanish side SD Eibar Femenino in 2020, Latsha says her dream is to inspire young people through rugby.

”I am incredibly excited to be having another season with my Harlequins family,” said Latsha.
“I look forward to representing South Africa whilst representing every young woman in South Africa who has ever dreamed of playing on some of the world’s biggest stages. More than that though.
“I want to represent the Harlequins’ shirt to the best of my ability.”
Earlier this month the side also made another signing in Boks Women back-row Aseza Hele.
