Run for Animals. Change a Life.
This year, for the very first time, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA has been selected as an official beneficiary of the Cape Town Festival of Running — and we need animal lovers, runners, walkers, families, and supporters to help us make every kilometre count.
The event takes place 18 & 19 July 2026 on Sea Point Promenade and caters for the novice runner who can enter a 5-person relay team of each person running 5KM each; to experienced runners entering the 21KM or for the ultra-athletes who could run 50KM.
Whatever your experience level you can make a difference in the lives of animals in the spirit of Madiba’s birthday weekend.
The process is simple: you register and pay your entry fees, select us as your charity, and then donate whatever amount you feel comfortable giving.
As a token of our appreciation, runners who donate R300 or more will each receive tick and flea treatment for one of their pets either a Simparica Trio for a dog or Revolution Plus for a cat.
The Cape Town Festival of Running takes place on 18 & 19 July 2026 on the Sea Point Promenade and welcomes runners of all abilities:
