Durban is getting even faster. The 2026 Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K will feature a refined speed-focused route and an earlier 07:00 start, raising hopes of the first-ever sub-27-minute 10km on African soil.
The stage is set for one of the strongest 10km road races ever assembled on African soil.
Olympic champion and world record holder Joshua Cheptegei will face a formidable challenge from Kenya’s Felix Masai and Gilbert Kiprotich, Lesotho record holder Kamohelo Mofolo, South Africa’s Kabelo Mulaudzi and Uganda’s Emanuel Kibet at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on 12 July.
