The 2026 Kapstadt CUP demonstrated the growing importance of structured youth football development in Africa. With 148 teams representing 40 clubs from South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe, the tournament combined grassroots participation, elite competition, scouting opportunities and regional integration.
Cape Town is ready for the Kapstadt CUP 2026, bringing young footballers from across South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe together from 30 September to 4 October. From 5v5 grassroots action to full 11-a-side battles, the next generation gets its chance to shine. 🌍 Football has no borders. 🏆 The future has a playing field.
From Khayelitsha’s football fields to the top of Table Mountain, Hisense South Africa delivered far more than an unforgettable day out. Through its Hands on the Future campaign, young footballers explored local innovation, shared their biggest dreams and received vital football equipment that will continue to benefit their communities long after the final whistle. Every great journey starts with believing it is possible.
