Bayhill Premier Cup 2024 official launch and draw set for an exciting tournament

CAPE TOWN – Following a successful Bayhill Premier Cup 2024 Official Launch and Draw that unfolded with precision on Saturday, 02 March 2024, players, coaches, esteemed guests, and dignitaries were immersed in a night of excellence, excitement, and entertainment.

Each individual in attendance had a front-row seat to witness the unveiling of the match ups as the participating teams learned their fate during the official draw ceremony.

The event was hosted in the Mayoral Banqueting Hall, one of the City of Cape Town’s premium venues.

Several esteemed dignitaries were in attendance, gracing the occasion with their presence and indicating their unwavering support for the Bayhill Premier Cup.

The event’s speakers captivated the audience with their eloquent speeches and words of encouragement, particularly directed towards the players and managers present.

Mayoral Committee Member for Community Services and Health, Councillor Patricia Van der Ross, highlighted the 35-year legacy of opportunities created by the Bayhill Premier Cup for aspiring football talents. She also emphasized the future potential for upcoming generations. Encouraging players to showcase their skills and believe in themselves, Councillor Van Der Ross instilled confidence and motivation among the participants.

Western Cape Provincial Minister of Community Safety and Police Oversight, Minister Reagan Allen, commended the Bayhill Premier Cup Local Organizing Committee for their significant contribution to football and youth development. Minister Allen emphasized three key aspects:

  • Mass Participation: The tournament’s role in engaging youth in sports, steering them away from negative influences like gangsterism.
  • Talent Identification: Providing a platform for a wide range of talent to shine, ultimately fostering self-expression and individual growth.
