The Two Oceans Marathon heralds a new era in support of local industry
The Two Oceans Marathon (TOM) NPC today revealed a new range of merchandise, which features a fresh aesthetic and design representing the natural beauty of our host destination, Cape Town and the Western Cape.
The locally produced range of runners’ tees captures the visual hues experienced along the route of the world’s most beautiful ultra marathon in the design and colour.
TOM Race Director Debra Barnes said, “The opportunity to create a new range of TOM apparel enabled us to “walk the talk” of supporting our local clothing manufacturing industry and producing TOM merchandise in South Africa, and in particular the Western Cape, where we have an abundance of Clothing Textile Manufacturing (CTM) skills. It further contributes to the socio-economic impact of the event in the region.”
In the colour choices, the range of runner tees, celebrates everything that’s iconic and unique about the Two Oceans Marathon − the orange hues of the sunrise in Muizenberg to the blue of the ocean and the green of Kirstenbosch, to the colours of the rough terrain of the mountain in the trail runner tees.
We hope these jerseys will be worn with pride, as a visible show of support of the local industry and knowing that it represents everything that the Two Oceans Marathon stands for.
